Over the past 15 years, we have supported several independent hotels to find their unique selling proposition and optimize their revenue potential. We have also worked strategic marketing & sales consulting for luxury and lifestyle brands, as well as by supporting entrepreneurs with mentoring sessions, for new projects or projects that required deep reflection.

Degree in Economics, MBA and Master Degree by Porto Business School (master's thesis on the theme: "The Experiences of Tourism provided by authentic regional legacy" and Post Graduation in Digital Marketing by European University in Lisbon.

As for professional achievements, the creation and management of the brand Blue & Green Hotels as Group Marketing Officer at Amorim Turismo and the work developed in the Group IFA Hotels & Resorts as Director of Marketing at Pine Cliffs Resort & Sheraton Algarve Hotel.

Filipa also worked with Explorer Investments, specifically with its tourism fund - Discovery Hotel Management - as a Consultant for the areas of Product Positioning, Marketing & Sales for the different hotels of this fund, namely Octant Praia Verde, Octant Lousã, Octant Monte Real, Six Senses Douro Valley, amongst others.

More recently, she worked with Amorim Luxury and the brand JNcQUOI, by supporting the set-up and opening of JNcQUOI Club, in Lisbon.

Filipa launched Milestones in 2009, a marketing & sales consulting company for tourism, hotel, luxury and lifestyle brands, having worked with different brands, namely: Sublime Comporta, Torre de Palma Wine Hotel, Design Hotels, amongst others.

More recently Filipa created an online travel agency with a collection of small charming hotels in Portugal, We Love Small Hotels, offering nature tours and authentic experiences, based in the principles of more sustainable, experiential, and culturally immersive travel.

Throughout her professional journey, Filipa was fortunate to work with several mentors, having spent the last 15 years of her career supporting the creation of new businesses. So, in search of a greater purpose, she began a new phase of life alongside with her work, in which she intends to give back to the community with Mentoring Sessions for Entrepreneurship. In order to give back, one of these weekly mentoring sessions is free of charge.
These Entrepreneurship Mentoring sessions focus on the following themes:

- Reflection on the business model.

Luís holds a Postgraduate Degree in Financial Management from the Instituto Superior de Administração e Gestão and brings over 25 years of experience in financial and operational leadership within the tourism and hospitality sectors. Throughout his career, Luís has been deeply committed to supporting new projects and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, contributing financial structure, strategic insight, and operational clarity through consulting and mentoring.

Luís has led financial departments in various organizations including Martinhal Family Hotels & Resorts, Sublime Hotels, and Vigia Resorts, where he managed budgeting, financial control, reporting, treasury, and ERP implementation in the context of hotel and resort operations. He also supported refinancing, restructuring, and expansion planning across multiple business units, including restaurants, touristic condominiums, and real estate structures.

In addition, he was responsible for leading the finance department of Portuscale Cruises, an international cruise operator based in Lisbon, where he oversaw the financial and operational control of a rebranded fleet acquired through a complex refinancing process.

A cornerstone of his professional journey was his 10-year tenure at Amorim Turismo, where he held multiple executive roles spanning project management, internal control, financial oversight, and general management. Working in close coordination with Accor Hotels, Luís contributed to the operational onboarding and oversight of over 40 hotels across Portugal, Cuba, and Mozambique, where he also managed the integration of new hotel operations. He was later responsible for the financial control of various Amorim Turismo subsidiaries and served as Managing Director of its gambling division, overseeing the acquisition and integration of five bingo halls in Portugal. Additionally, he managed a sports events company under the same group, coordinating operations with FIFA and national broadcasters.

In Angola, Luís acted as Operational & Financial Controller for the development of a 24-hotel brand rollout with a total estimated investment of USD 190 million. He created business plans and ROI models, coordinated the local project team, and ensured financial control across development phases. He also delivered investor-facing documentation, managed reporting for stakeholders, and supported market feasibility studies and phased capital planning for each hotel unit under development.

Following his work in Angola, Luís served as Associate Partner at AEQUITATE, a Lisbon-based consultancy specialized in tourism and hospitality investment. There, he collaborated on several large-scale national development projects, delivering business plans and financial models to support investments up to €500 million.

Currently, Luís is Head of Valuation at BAE Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on innovation in the travel and tourism industry. He is responsible for the valuation of startups, investment due diligence, and investor reporting, helping high-potential ventures scale with clarity and financial discipline.

A passionate enthusiast of Artificial Intelligence, he strongly believes in its power to enhance productivity and elevate the quality of professional output, actively integrating AI tools to increase efficiency across multiple layers of his professional activity.
