In the last 13 years, Milestones has been helping independent hotels, by providing the capacity to act, create procedures and to be autonomous within the areas of sales, marketing and revenue management, focusing on the business goals of each unit.

Degree in Economics, MBA and Master Degree by Porto Business School (completed her master's thesis on the theme: "The Experiences of Tourism provided by authentic regional legacy". Graduated in Digital Marketing from the European University.

As for professional achievements, the creation and management of the brand Blue & Green Hotels as Group Marketing Officer in Amorim Turismo and the work developed in the Group IFA Hotels & Resorts as Director of Marketing at Pine Cliffs Resort & Sheraton Algarve Hotel. Also to mention the support given to Explorer Investments, specifically to the tourism fund - Discovery Hotel Management - as a Consultant for the areas of Product Positioning, Marketing & Sales for the different hotels of the fund. More recently, she collaborated with the brand JNcQUOI, by supporting the set-up of the JNcQUOI Club, in Lisbon.

Filipa launched Milestones in 2009 with the aim of helping independent hotels in the set-up and turnaround proccesses in the areas of marketing and sales, having worked with different brands, namely: Sublime Comporta, Torre de Palma Wine Hotel, Design Hotels.

More recently Filipa created an online travel agency with a collection of small charming hotels in Portugal, offering nature tours (walking, biking, birdwatching, among others) and authentic experiences, based in the principles of sustainable tourism: www.welovesmallhotels.com.

What we do

We work in the areas of strategy, marketing, sales and revenue management. We aim to share knowledge and training to the hotel, providing the capacity to act, create procedures and to be autonomous within the areas we work: sales, marketing, e-commerce & revenue management. 

We follow some principles in our work: accuracy, entrepreneurial attitude and the complete confidentiality of the information.

For each project, a differentiation strategy in a structured way and supported by the strategic products defined in the National Strategic Plan for Tourism: Sun and Sea, Cultural and Religious Tourism, Business Tourism, Nature Tourism, Nautical Tourism, Health and Wellness, Golf, Integrated Resorts, Residential Tourism and Food & Wine.

Our DNA

Milestones was created with the aim of supporting a whole integrated plan of sales and marketing for hotels as well as the online strategy (e-marketing, e-commerce, revenue management). The goal is to share this knowledge with the hotel in order to gain a work methodology and in order for the hotel to be autonomous.

More than a sum of variables, we support an integrated view of tourism. We have an attitude "hands-on, hearts-on".
